Notes from the Staff Council February General Meeting
UT Dallas Staff Council appointed Heather Stovall as a representative for District 3. Welcome!
We endorsed the new proposed Student Pregnancy and Parenting Nondiscrimination Policy.
We endorsed a change to UTDBP3088: Quantity of Work Rule from HR.
Dr. Calvin Jamison, Vice President for Facilities and Economic Development, gave us an update on the growth of UT Dallas. It included parking changes & construction project updates. See the meeting recording and presentation slides for more details.
Dr. Serenity Rose King, Associate Vice President for Institutional Success and Decision Support, and representatives from across campus delivered an update on enrollment and plans for strategic enrollment management. See the meeting recording and presentation slides for more details.

Staff Council Scholarships
The Fall 2023 Staff Council Scholarship winners were recently announced: Caylin Blockley, Miler Hung, Jasmine Johnson, Theresa Kaualoku, Taylor Lawson, Sivya Leventhal, Khushali Shah, Yuliaa Sobko, Attiya White, and Victoria Morales.
The deadline for Spring 2024 scholarship applications is March 1, 2024.
CARE Awards
The CARE Awards — Celebrate Achievement, Reward Excellence — recognize staff who have demonstrated superior performance, offered outstanding customer service, and performed acts that have enhanced the image of the University.
Recipients of the Fall 2023 CARE Awards are:

The UTD Staff Compensation Study has Begun
The first round of survey links went to our administrative personnel. With over 1400 staff job codes this will be a multi-year project, but vitally important so that staff will have contemporary job titles with duties that reflect market salary ranges.
