The Staff Council selects one of its representatives to receive the annual Sandee Goertzen Staff Council Member of the Year Award. This award is the highest honor the Staff Council can bestow to a representative.

Who is Sandee Goertzen?

Sandee Goertzen was one of the twelve founders of the University of Texas at Dallas’s Staff Council. Sandee is a retiree of the University of Texas at Dallas. Sandee is the Official liaison between the UTD Retiree Association and Staff Council; therefore, she attends every monthly meeting.

  1. Nominees must be current members of the Staff Council.
  2. The winner of the Sandee Goertzen Staff Council Member of the Year Award must be a current member in good standing of the Staff Council at the time the Award is presented.
